Nick Fury is a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, and has resided in Kensington proper since 2010 with his amazing wife Amanda Fury and two poorly-cloned dogs. After graduating from Temple University in 1995 with a degree in Film & Media Arts, he started MartNet, Philadelphia’s first open source internet service provider. A decade later he took over the family business in Mayfair, Schummer’s Super Service Center, and he has been repairing automobiles ever since. In 2016 Nick opened a second auto repair shop, Schummer’s of Kensington. Nick is an ASE Certified Master Mechanic and currently sits on the Board of the Service Station Dealers Federal Credit Union. In his spare time serves as Treasurer of the Board of Kingdom Builders Construction (a Mennonite Central Committee ministry.) Nick helps lead Circle of Hope‘s Urban Farm Network, and gets his hands dirty at the Frankford Avenue Garden next door to Co-op. Nick loves bringing healthy food to his neighbors, reclaiming vacant land, low speed daredevil driving, high speed cycling, and camping.
