On February 4, 2022, the KCFC Board of Directors voted to appoint Beth McRavion and Jonathan Fink as interim directors-at-large. McRavion and Fink will be directors until the next elected board is seated in June 2022.
Welcome, Beth!
Residing in Holmesburg and working in South Kensington, Beth has been a member-owner with KCFC since 2017. She’s interested in food justice, increasing awareness of cooperatives and partnerships, as well as advocating for the health & safety of KCFC staff and shoppers. Beth is a talent acquisition manager working in human services with a strong passion for advocacy and community building. Her journey started over 30 years ago in human services working with underserved youth living in a children’s home where she witnessed the injustices of homelessness, poverty, hunger, judicial wrongs, domestic abuse and violence, mental health issues and more. Beth received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. A mom of four and a retired USAF Major, she is a writer, mentor, motivational speaker, published poet, and humanitarian. Beth also currently serves as an Executive Board Member for The Perseverance Project Inc. as the Director of Social Justice Advocacy.
Welcome, Jonathan!
Since 1997, Jonathan Fink has lived in Fishtown with his family and has been a member-owner of KCFC for more than two years. Some of his top KCFC interests are supporting local food vendors, eating fresh food and improving access to it with more neighbors, and meeting people in the neighborhood and supporting his community. A professional cellist, Jonathan plays in the Philly Pops and other local orchestras. In addition, he is a Realtor and has run a team at a local real estate agency for about 12 years. Jonathan also flies a restored Beechcraft Bonanza and uses his aircraft for charity missions, such as rescue flights to save dogs from kill shelters. Jonathan is also a board member of Project 440, a music-based nonprofit which helps young people improve their worlds through the lens of music.
